Susan Myers, professor of French since 1995 and chair of the Department of Languages from
2009 to 2018 at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO, has presented on pedagogical and
administrative topics at language conferences such as Foreign Language Association of
Missouri, the American Association of Teachers of French, and the Colorado Congress of
Foreign Language Teachers. Her publications have appeared in the books Sébastien Japrisot:
The Art of Crime and French Prose in 2000 and in a special edition of the journal 813. Thanks to
an award for improving learning spaces, she directed a complete renovation of Jewell’s language
lab. Life member of Phi Sigma Iota, she participated on the scholarship committee in 2016, 2017
and 2018. She currently contributes to the AATF’s Commission on Film’s publications.
