This paper examines the importance of food in French cultural studies from a broad and interdisciplinary perspective. By numerous external measures, food is still something that the French do extremely well. Gastronomy is not only a powerful cultural and intellectual encounter for students, it is also an important tool for educators seeking fresh focus within language and culture curricula. The latter half of the presentation focuses on practical strategies, content, and resources for teachers and administrators.
