202S: Philadelphia and the French Connection

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

From the eighteenth century to the twenty-first, Philadelphia has always had a strong French presence, notably in the artistic, educational, and political spheres. Among them are the well-known Marquis de Lafayette, Stephen Girard, and Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours, as well as lesser-known figures such as Paul Cret and Félix Barbelin S.J. Philadelphians can experience French art and architecture thanks to philanthropists such as Jules Mastbaum and Albert Barnes. You are invited to explore these and other French connections during this interactive presentation.
